Future worries!
I wonder what I'm gonna be in the future...
I successfully escaped from this thought two years ago when I decided to go abroad, but it proves to only solve the problem temporarily. As I'll graduate soon, similar problem started to haunt me again...
After all these years studying, I'm really thinking that I should start applying the little things I know to contribute to the people. The fact that I'll have spent 7 years in the university by the end of my master study really struck me lately, and now I wonder of how I should go on.
Getting a PhD position is still my preference since I like doing research, but lots of thought somewhat also convinced me that getting a job in industry (or business) would be a nice(r) option. As people often say that university is not the real world, to which I agree (only) to some extent, I'm now thinking that it's probably time to step out from this very comfortable environment and find my position out there where I can make a difference to the world. It sounds really idealistic, but honestly, I start worrying whether I'll ever be able to give anything.
PhD? Work? Combining both of them? Any other options that I missed?
The best choice would be the one that fits me best, and also the one that gives more impact to what I wanna do in the future, which is also another big question mark.
Guess I'll take more time to think about it. A little break from my routine probably will help to think more clearly.
Anyway, comments and suggestions are very much welcomed.

Don't forget to be a mom, the hardest job on earth :)
Semoga dimudahkan dan dilancarkan dalam menentukan langkah ya..
hey, thanks for dropping by my blog! :)
doing PhD is fun (and stressful), but working in something you love is fun too. so, i guess either one or both is fine.
except that if pursuing PhD needs a reason.... if you could do what you dream of doing in this world without PhD, then don't do PhD... only do otherwise if you really need to do that ;)
happy contemplating!
Wow! almost finish with your master, congrats des!
I think both worlds (campus and work) are fun when you love what you do. So mostly it's up to whether you'll enjoy it or not. :)
Hope all the best for you des.
btw, I add your link to my blog, thx!
