presentation

Alhamdulillah, my internship presentation last Thursday went so fine. Some people told me that they like it :) *If only you knew it means a lot to me :)*

My internship project last semester is a collaboration between Biomedical Image Analysis group and Tissue Engineering group. A group in Tissue Engineering has engineered a tissue for heart valve implantation, but they are not sure about the strength of the tissue. The strength of the tissue is determined by the architecture of the collagen fiber in the tissue. For that reason, they asked the people in Biomedical Image Analysis group (Bart ter Haar Romeny -my supervisor) to quantify the fiber architecture, by analyzing three aspects: the orientation, the thickness, and the tortuosity of the fiber.

It was such a big project. 3 students were working on it for the internship. I was on the thickness part and my other friends (Maria and Marc) were on the other two. The presentation was going very well --even though, as usual I always felt butterflies in my stomach :D. Despite the carnival week, there were still a lot of people attending the presentation --the room was full! Besides the people from the lab, our friends whom we invited also came!

Special thanks to Agnese, Chiara, Angela, and Esther!
And thanks for all your supports!
*And of course, for you, honey, my beloved proof reader and "tempat curhat" as always :)*
